4.5 What a happy discovery. I hadn't spent much time in Berry Hill and I had a friend in town who wanted to photograph some of the houses in the area. Being that I didn't have a camera or much interest in his project, I went on some exploring of my own. My handy dandy Yelp app let me know there was pie nearby and that's all I needed to know. After the cupcake, there's been some disagreement as to what was the new heir apparent in the world of 'it' desserts. Yes, an entirely first world problem but if you weren't in to first world problems, you probably wouldn't be on Yelp. The coastal cities chose pie but much of the rest of the country ignored them. Being a pie enthusiast, that decision confounded me but being unwilling to live on the coast (when it comes to being food forward, Miami doesn't count as coastal), what was I to do? And there it was: like a mirage in a food trend desert... Loving Pie Company. The business is set in one of the charming houses that dot this stretch of residential/commercial Berry Hill. If you didn't know what you were looking for, it would be easy to overlook it. That would be a mistake. I wandered in and began perusing the menu when I realized how close to close I was. I hate that. I hate walking in to a restaurant with an hour or less to go before close. Unless you have lived the life and worked the job, you don't know the struggle. After a long day, you want to go home. You've started to break down. Your mind is transitioning to personal life. And then... a party of eight comes in... with six minutes to go before you lock the damn door... and they want samples... and to sit in the dining area. Sorry. I had a flashback. In any case, I was about to show myself out when the owner (?) told me that I could get something to go if I wished. 1.) Awesome. 2.) So nice 3.) I always wish. With both savory and sweet from which to choose, I opted for sweet and a cup of coffee. The slight chill in the air (at the time I stopped by), my choices were clear: a slice of The Great Pumpkin pie and a to go cup of the Hotsy Totsy coffee. I came to the pumpkin pie bandwagon late in life. I blame canned pumpkin at Thanksgiving (much like canned yams, they will turn you off from the food forever). But, when a pie is made with fresh pumpkin, spices, chocolate (and, caramel?), watch out! This pie was so good, I had to sit down. Seriously. Walking around the little park in front of the business, I looked for a bench because my knees could not support me after my mouth demanded full use of my body. To help wash my baked awesomeness down, my bourbon caramel latte hit every spot and then some. It's a very good thing I don't live in Berry Hill. I'd be enormous. I need to come back to TLPC with more time to spend going over the menu. But maybe, for my waistline's sake, I should second guess that.

Dear loving pie company, I love you! The coconut custard pie was top notch. It reminded me of a macaroon. Prices were reasonable and service was super friendly. There was a dizzying array of choices and they all sounded better than the next. I think next time I'll try a savory treat.

When one of my coworkers mentioned the existence of a restaurant that serves NOTHING BUT PIE we all freaked out and had to go. Six of us made the trek on a Friday for lunch at The Loving Pie Company, and we were not disappointed. I almost squealed in delight as we pulled up to this adorable house-turned-pie-shop. It made me feel like I was stepping into a real-life Pushing Daisies Pie Hole. For lunch, I decided on their Mac & Cheese Pie, and it was AMAZING. It was served hot, personally sized for one, and absolutely delicious. I scraped the little bowl clean! (Decided not to include that photo, because gluttony.) It was just as good as the homemade baked mac I make at home, so it's tempting me to throw a pie crust over the top of my normal recipe, in little ramekins! For dessert, I took home their Chess Pie and Red Velvet Chess Pie. I've been on a buttermilk/chess pie kick for a while, for no reason in particular. Both were really good (the Red Velvet had a rich chocolate flavor) but I want to go back to try a fruit pie sometime. Heck, I want to come back and try a lot of things at this place. I will warn you, it's a slow-paced meal, not a dine and dash kind of joint. You need to sit down and savor and enjoy the pie. Because PIE.

Once upon a time I was lost. I did not know about the little, tiny city of Berry Hill. Once I found it, The Loving Pie was the first restaurant I came to try out! I've been living in Nashville for 15 years & I had no idea such deliciousness existed here! Besides their delicious savory pies, their dessert pies taste like angels came down from heaven and made them. Then the coffee. Man. Coffee is a necessity for me as a college student. TLPC's coffee was made by Jesus himself. Yup. I went there. They're just that good! And their service and staff are poppin! (That means the most awesome ever.) I've had their Mac and cheese pie several time (one of my faves specially the jalapeño mac.) Today I tried the chicken pot pie & MY GOODNESS. Those veggies were fresher than the Prince Of Bel Air. Seriously. I love the pie crust. They should make a crust pie. Mmm. Anyways, if you haven't experienced The Loving Pie Company then GET ON IT! You're missing out!

I'm not usually a big pie person--I consider myself a loyal cake consumer--but the chess pie! My, oh my, I'm a believer. My friends and I stopped in here for lunch on a Tennessee road trip, upon doing research for good food in Nashville. We ordered a variety of savory pies to start, and finished the meal on a sweet note with various single slices of dessert pie. We all agreed that the pies were incredible. Flaky, buttery crust combined with rich flavorful fillings resulted in perfect, satisfying bites during every bite of the meal. All of it was great. The chicken pot pie, Mac and cheese pie, chili frito pie. The pecan, pumpkin chess, Mexican chocolate chess, and standard chess pie. I sampled it all. And Suzanne--she was just as sweet as her treats. We talked to her awhile up front and she made us feel so welcome, providing recommendations on what else to do in town. If only I could convince her to transfer her business to Seattle. Or maybe not. It would be a dangerous addiction I could not get over. Oh yeah, one more thing, Matt L's review is wrong. They don't do coconut cream pie here FYI.

I fell in love with the pies awhile back, but today was my first day to try some of their savory pies and enjoy a leisurely lunch. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We didn't have one server, they all were working together, stopping by to make sure we had everything we needed and we never lacked for anything during the entire meal. The owner, Suzanne, was also checking in and making sure everyone was enjoying their food. Not only was the staff friendly, but there were several locals at the tables and we ended up having a lovely conversation with the lady at the table next to us who was enjoying a delicious looking sausage and grits concoction and a chocolate mousse pie that looked beyond exquisite! I had the quiche selection which was creamy and light and exactly what I wanted for lunch. My friend had the Jambalaya. Both were great, but my friend and I decided that the spicy jambalaya was among the best we had EVER had. I sneaked a few bites when he looked the other way. I had their cherry pie for the first time and really enjoyed it. It was a nice balance of sweet and tart and homemade from bottom to top crust. No bad pre-made pie filler here! Mark had his usual Saturday morning treat of apple pie with a cinnamon roll baked on top. We make this pie a pretty regular Saturday morning treat and it never disappoints. This place truly is a gem in the middle of Berry Hill and now one of our favorite lunchtime meals stops!

I ordered the jalapeño mac n cheese pie expecting the same wave of disappointment that washed over me when I looked in the mirror that morning and realized I didn't even recognize myself anymore. However, my first bite made me realize that I couldn't recognize myself because "Selfhood" is a mental construction that does not truly exist, causing all distinctions to crumble. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't excessively sweet, like many lemon meringue pies I've had elsewhere. The crust had nice texture, but was a bit bland. OMG! This is a brilliant idea for a restaurant - a coffee shop, an artisan pie shop and a lunch place all in one. My mom and I stopped in for lunch one day - I got one of their hearty pies for my main meal - a Shepard's pie (beef and mashed potatoes = yum!!) and a slice of chess pie for dessert. My mom got a slice of the triple berry. No coffee on this visit, but the offerings look great - some quality brews at this place! The food was outstanding. The Shepard's pie was made to order and the dessert pie was warmed and served a la mode (gigantic 'dollop' of ice cream, but that's not really a complaint). Cheerful staff and the cute space - the restaurant is in an old Berry Hill house - really reinforce the idea that you are getting some good home cooking. The food is so delicious and so homey. The Loving Pie Co. is really just a slice of happiness. You should definitely go check them out for lunch or for dessert or for a snack or for your morning coffee. You can even order whole pies - so go and impress your dinner guests! Dear Loving Pie Company, I LOVE YOU!
I had been meaning to try this place for quite a while and thankfully finally did today. My husband and I decided to go here for an early Valentine's Day lunch and it was the perfect treat. While I'm no stranger to pie, he hadn't really tried any before especially not savory pies. So we ended up getting the Frito chili pie, chicken pot pie, and one of the daily specials jambalaya pie. I had the Frito chili pie and it was amazing. Very hearty and like with the rest of the pies was a perfect portion. My husband had the chicken pot pie and ended up getting the jambalaya too after liking the first pie so much. The chicken pot pie has a nice flaky crust and was filled with fresh veggies and the jambalaya was on par with what he'd had in New Orleans. Very spicy, but in a good way. I had the sweet tea and he had The Swanson (bacon latte), which we both enjoyed very much. We were pretty much won over from all of the cute pop culture references on the drink menu alone. For dessert we had the chocolate peanut butter pie with chocolate ice cream and it was heavenly. Besides from the good food our waitress was very attentive and friendly and so was the owner. You can tell she takes pride in making good food and it shows. We'll definitely be coming back soon!

Simply described as Heaven on Earth. Travelled from Australia to try the best pies in Nashville and have been twice in two days with a third trip planned before we leave. Do yourself a favour and come here so that you can be extremely conflicted in your decision of which pies to eat. You must have more than one.

Nestled away in the idyllic Berry Hill, The Loving Pie Company is a hidden Nashville gem. With a diverse menu of both the sweet and savory, this place could be any pie lover's dream. I have been working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Are they as good as grandma used to make? Pretty darn close. With an adorable location and friendly staff, this is an excellent place to grab an afternoon slice. My only real complaint is that "quick" is not in the dictionary of this establishment, so if you want a to-go order, be sure to call ahead. Otherwise, you'll be waiting about thirty minutes for your carry out. Some of that is due to the nature of the dish, but the LPC is also pretty laid back about getting orders out. This is still my absolute favorite place in the world! I've never had anything here I haven't loved but I have some new favorites. The peanut butter hot chocolate and the jambalaya pot pie. Ya'll. I can't even. The peanut butter hot chocolate is no crappy Swiss miss tasting stuff. It's rich and there's a perfect chocolate to peanut butter ratio! The jambalaya is like Mardi Gras in your mouth. One bite and you are instantly transported to New Orleans, you're wearing stacks of beads and you have no idea how you got them. Ok, so you don't really teleport or anything, but it's so amazing it will feel like you did!! So you should really stop reading his review and just go order it for yourself. Actually, don't....leaves more for me! :)

I'd heard this place was great and decided to buy 3 pies for Thanksgiving. I was not really impressed. The pies were overdone and dry. Not slamming to slam, really wanted these to be great. But overall was very disappointed considering what I paid for them ($22 per pie...approx $75 for all 3). That's a lot of money for pies that should have been outstanding. Coming from NYC I find that to be the case all too often: people rave about a bakery, hype up the fact it's an interesting flavor (or maybe just being 'homemade' is novel enough these days), and ultimately it's nothing great.

I love pies so I decided that it was imperative that I go here the moment I heard about it. The Shepherd's Pie was awesome. It was the perfect comfort meal for this cold weather. I also tried the Frito Chili Pie. It was good, but the fritos didn't maintain all of their crispy integrity and I am not sure it's even possible though I would have liked it. The Red Velvet chocolate pie was rich, but surprisingly light. I will definitely come back here! In fact, I can't wait!

I tried a savory macaroni pie, and took three or was it four slices of sweet pies and not one was worth the price or even that good at any price.

Pie just like mom... well ok, like grandma used to make. They have sweet and savory pie options. I've had both and they were equally delicious. This is a great place to escape for a while and relax with a cup of coffee and a slice. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The shop has a cool, laid back, relaxing vibe. So good! What a wonderful hidden gem :) For a drink I got the Hotsy Totsy, which is a bourbon caramel latte.. :) I had never seen a latte come in a rocks glass but apparently that's just how they do it. And that's okay with me. I only got a savor pie, the special that day, a pesto alfredo macaroni.Slightly bland, but a little hot sauce made it amazing :) I didn't order sweet pie, but a friend got the chess and it looked amazing! I would def recommend going here :)

Great experience here! The hot chocolate was wonderful and the pie selection was broad enough that there was something for everyone. The menu is small but diverse, maybe a few more quiches or savory dishes could be added. The frito pie was amazeballs! Everyone was pleased, the pricing was fair, and the staff friendly. Our waiter was new I think, still unsure about menu selections and could use a bit more training but we will definitely be back!

I had the chicken pot pie and the apple. The chicken pot pie had a buttery garlic filling with big luscious veggies! The apple pie was good. I'm a tough critic. I would have loved for the apple slices to be cooked more. The crust was good but was a little bland. Definitely a great spot in Nashville where pie is scarce! I was so excited about this place. The whole concept of a pie place thrills me. But then I went there. I had a veggie pot pie that was filled with frozen vegetables. WTF? Service was bad and they seem to be a bit snobby about coffee. We ordered tea. Why wouldn't a pie place have tea? They brought us glass cups filled halfway with water and a teabag. Again, WTF? I don't eat sugar so couldn't try the pie. I asked about ordering a custom one and was told they could make one with or agave (that was cool), but at $23 for a regular pie I can't imagine what a custom pie would cost. They have elitist hours and their open "until they run out"? Of what? Frozen vegetables?

I thought I was going there for coffee and desert pie but they also have SAVORY pie. This is great because I didn't have lunch. The pesto mac n cheese was awesome and I almost got seconds but the portion was perfect for me. Then I had one of their special pies of the day, "pie so serious" which was a chocolate crust with chocolate go-nosh with a whipped chocolate topping. It was awesome. I also had some delicious mocha coffee drink . The staff was attentive and nice, I will go back and bring others. I am so happy to find another place that is not a chain restaurant and has actually fresh food made daily.

We came by lunchtime when it was below freezing outside and had some excellent coffee and pie. I had the red velvet chess pie and my wife had the chocolate pecan. Both were fantastic - tasted just like homemade. The place is just off of E. Thompson Ln., which means it is a good location, but not very crowded. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a great slice of pie.

So I went to the Loving Pie Company, and I decided it was worth my time to try out the place. I like good coffee, and I like good pie. The location isn't bad for the Hundred Oaks/Berry Hill area. Tuck away little bit in Berry Hill, but it's not so frustrating that you'll have a hard time. The staff is actually pretty delightful. I thought everyone was really nice, were considerate and proactive. I cannot speak highly enough of them. The coffee was a bit of a problem. I ordered an iced Americano, and even when they remade it, they complained that it's hard to make good coffee cold, which I don't really buy into, since I can get very excellent Americanos all over Nashville. The first was barely drinkable, and the second was merely passable, using cold brew, so it wasn't really an Americano, but what're you gonna do? Their hot coffee drinks are probably better. Then there's the pie. I ordered a slice of the Coconut Cream, based on the recommendation of the owner. And, in all honesty, this might have been... the greatest slice of pie I've every had in my life. Sweet but not so sweet as make your eyes water, creamy, nice coconut flavor, and a wonderful flaky crust. It's the kind of pie that haunts your dreams. I was so thoroughly satisfied with the pie that I'll probably never ask anyone to make pie for me again. So, yeah. The Loving Pie Company is a legitimate hit when it comes to making pies.

This is a nice quaint little spot. It's great for those silly conversations over a cup of coffee and a slice of pie! I had the local favorite chocolate chip pie which was a warm ooey gooey slice of goodness that reminded me of a good hot chocolate chop cookie. The pie crust was very flaky and light which was great but tasteless like most pie crusts are. I washed my pie down with three cups of house coffee because the refills were free. They do have a selection of artisan coffees but they do not come with free refills. Did I mention that they also serve homemade pot pies. These pot pies are served at the Pie Company or you can take and bake. I ordered two veggie pot pies and one chicken and one macaroni and cheese pot pie, yes I said macaroni and cheese pot pie. The veggie pot pies were good with big rustic chunks of zucchini, squash and spears of broccoli and cauliflower. My girlfriend said that her chicken and macaroni and cheese pot pies were good and she especially liked the macaroni and cheese. If we were in the same house at the time I would have sampled hers also! He he!

I love the idea of this place. The dessert pies are good the savory pies are inconsistent, sometimes just warmish in the middle and sometimes dry. Their service is what made me decide I didn't want to spend my money here. They are slow as Christmas, I have stopped by on three different occasions where they just shut down early and went home, once the owner came outside and said they weren't serving because they were getting ready for a party but I could see another customer in the window having pie. No way to run a business or cultivate loyal customers!

This place was AMAZING! I was driving through town with my sister and was in the mood for some pie. This place exceed any expectations. The chicken pot pie and Mac and cheese pie were incredible and even complimented each other perfectly! To close it off we had the chocolate chip pie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate peanut butter pie with chocolate ice cream. The chocolate chip pie was PERFECT and the chocolate peanut butter, even though it was a little chocolatey for me, was very good! For sure a must see in Nashville!!

Flaky, buttery crust combined with rich flavorful fillings resulted in perfect, satisfying bites during every bite of the meal. All of it was great. The chicken pot pie, Mac and cheese pie, chili frito pie. The pecan, pumpkin chess, Mexican chocolate chess, and standard chess pie. I sampled it all. And Suzanne--she was just as sweet as her treats. We talked to her awhile up front and she made us feel so welcome, providing recommendations on what else to do in town. If only I could convince her to transfer her business to Seattle. Or maybe not. It would be a dangerous addiction I could not get over. Oh yeah, one more thing, Matt L's review is wrong. They don't do coconut cream pie here FYI.

I fell in love with the pies awhile back, but today was my first day to try some of their savory pies and enjoy a leisurely lunch. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We didn't have one server, they all were working together, stopping by to make sure we had everything we needed and we never lacked for anything during the entire meal. The owner, Suzanne, was also checking in and making sure everyone was enjoying their food. Not only was the staff friendly, but there were several locals at the tables and we ended up having a lovely conversation with the lady at the table next to us who was enjoying a delicious looking sausage and grits concoction and a chocolate mousse pie that looked beyond exquisite! I had the quiche selection which was creamy and light and exactly what I wanted for lunch. My friend had the Jambalaya. Both were great, but my friend and I decided that the spicy jambalaya was among the best we had EVER had. I sneaked a few bites when he looked the other way. I had their cherry pie for the first time and really enjoyed it. It was a nice balance of sweet and tart and homemade from bottom to top crust. No bad pre-made pie filler here! Mark had his usual Saturday morning treat of apple pie with a cinnamon roll baked on top. We make this pie a pretty regular Saturday morning treat and it never disappoints. This place truly is a gem in the middle of Berry Hill and now one of our favorite lunchtime meals stops!

I ordered the jalapeño mac n cheese pie expecting the same wave of disappointment that washed over me when I looked in the mirror that morning and realized I didn't even recognize myself anymore. However, my first bite made me realize that I couldn't recognize myself because "Selfhood" is a mental construction that does not truly exist, causing all distinctions to crumble. If you love pie, this is the spot!!! The smell alone as you walk in is intoxicating. Ate the coconut custard pie and chocolate strawberry pie with ice cream. Both were excellent. Took slices to go since I live an hour away. The place is in a quiet, quaint neighborhood.

Came by here for a little something sweet and picked up a slice of lemon meringue pie to go. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't excessively sweet, like many lemon meringue pies I've had elsewhere. The crust had nice texture, but was a bit bland. OMG! This is a brilliant idea for a restaurant - a coffee shop, an artisan pie shop and a lunch place all in one. My mom and I stopped in for lunch one day - I got one of their hearty pies for my main meal - a Shepard's pie (beef and mashed potatoes = yum!!) and a slice of chess pie for dessert. My mom got a slice of the triple berry. No coffee on this visit, but the offerings look great - some quality brews at this place! The food was outstanding. The Shepard's pie was made to order and the dessert pie was warmed and served a la mode (gigantic 'dollop' of ice cream, but that's not really a complaint). Cheerful staff and the cute space - the restaurant is in an old Berry Hill house - really reinforce the idea that you are getting some good home cooking. The food is so delicious and so homey. The Loving Pie Co. is really just a slice of happiness. You should definitely go check them out for lunch or for dessert or for a snack or for your morning coffee. You can even order whole pies - so go and impress your dinner guests! Dear Loving Pie Company, I LOVE YOU!

Went today to get the shepherd's pie =) yummy as usual. Also tried the maple bourbon peach pie and it was amazing. My fiancé doesn't even like peach and ate every bit of his piece. Now I'm thinking about buying one for Easter... The Loving Pie Company has definitely become one of our favorite places to go. I had been meaning to try this place for quite a while and thankfully finally did today. My husband and I decided to go here for an early Valentine's Day lunch and it was the perfect treat. While I'm no stranger to pie, he hadn't really tried any before especially not savory pies. So we ended up getting the Frito chili pie, chicken pot pie, and one of the daily specials jambalaya pie. I had the Frito chili pie and it was amazing. Very hearty and like with the rest of the pies was a perfect portion. My husband had the chicken pot pie and ended up getting the jambalaya too after liking the first pie so much. The chicken pot pie has a nice flaky crust and was filled with fresh veggies and the jambalaya was on par with what he'd had in New Orleans. Very spicy, but in a good way. I had the sweet tea and he had The Swanson (bacon latte), which we both enjoyed very much. We were pretty much won over from all of the cute pop culture references on the drink menu alone. For dessert we had the chocolate peanut butter pie with chocolate ice cream and it was heavenly. Besides from the good food our waitress was very attentive and friendly and so was the owner. You can tell she takes pride in making good food and it shows. We'll definitely be coming back soon!

Simply described as Heaven on Earth. Travelled from Australia to try the best pies in Nashville and have been twice in two days with a third trip planned before we leave. Do yourself a favour and come here so that you can be extremely conflicted in your decision of which pies to eat. You must have more than one.

Nestled away in the idyllic Berry Hill, The Loving Pie Company is a hidden Nashville gem. With a diverse menu of both the sweet and savory, this place could be any pie lover's dream. I have been working my way through the menu and have yet to be disappointed. Are they as good as grandma used to make? Pretty darn close. With an adorable location and friendly staff, this is an excellent place to grab an afternoon slice. My only real complaint is that "quick" is not in the dictionary of this establishment, so if you want a to-go order, be sure to call ahead. Otherwise, you'll be waiting about thirty minutes for your carry out. Some of that is due to the nature of the dish, but the LPC is also pretty laid back about getting orders out. This is still my absolute favorite place in the world! I've never had anything here I haven't loved but I have some new favorites. The peanut butter hot chocolate and the jambalaya pot pie. Ya'll. I can't even. The peanut butter hot chocolate is no crappy Swiss miss tasting stuff. It's rich and there's a perfect chocolate to peanut butter ratio! The jambalaya is like Mardi Gras in your mouth. One bite and you are instantly transported to New Orleans, you're wearing stacks of beads and you have no idea how you got them. Ok, so you don't really teleport or anything, but it's so amazing it will feel like you did!! So you should really stop reading his review and just go order it for yourself. Actually, don't....leaves more for me! :)

I'd heard this place was great and decided to buy 3 pies for Thanksgiving. I was not really impressed. The pies were overdone and dry. Not slamming to slam, really wanted these to be great. But overall was very disappointed considering what I paid for them ($22 per pie...approx $75 for all 3). That's a lot of money for pies that should have been outstanding. Coming from NYC I find that to be the case all too often: people rave about a bakery, hype up the fact it's an interesting flavor (or maybe just being 'homemade' is novel enough these days), and ultimately it's nothing great.

I love pies so I decided that it was imperative that I go here the moment I heard about it. The Shepherd's Pie was awesome. It was the perfect comfort meal for this cold weather. I also tried the Frito Chili Pie. It was good, but the fritos didn't maintain all of their crispy integrity and I am not sure it's even possible though I would have liked it. The Red Velvet chocolate pie was rich, but surprisingly light. I will definitely come back here! In fact, I can't wait!

I was so hoping for a pie house to match Random Order Pie Company in Portland, OR - I was so sorely disappointed that I have a hard time even giving it two stars. I tried a savory macaroni pie, and took three or was it four slices of sweet pies and not one was worth the price or even that good at any price.

Pie just like mom... well ok, like grandma used to make. They have sweet and savory pie options. I've had both and they were equally delicious. This is a great place to escape for a while and relax with a cup of coffee and a slice. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The shop has a cool, laid back, relaxing vibe. So good! What a wonderful hidden gem :) For a drink I got the Hotsy Totsy, which is a bourbon caramel latte.. :) I had never seen a latte come in a rocks glass but apparently that's just how they do it. And that's okay with me. I only got a savor pie, the special that day, a pesto alfredo macaroni.Slightly bland, but a little hot sauce made it amazing :) I didn't order sweet pie, but a friend got the chess and it looked amazing! I would def recommend going here :)

Great experience here! The hot chocolate was wonderful and the pie selection was broad enough that there was something for everyone. The menu is small but diverse, maybe a few more quiches or savory dishes could be added. The frito pie was amazeballs! Everyone was pleased, the pricing was fair, and the staff friendly. Our waiter was new I think, still unsure about menu selections and could use a bit more training but we will definitely be back!

I had the chicken pot pie and the apple. The chicken pot pie had a buttery garlic filling with big luscious veggies! The apple pie was good. I'm a tough critic. I would have loved for the apple slices to be cooked more. The crust was good but was a little bland. Definitely a great spot in Nashville where pie is scarce! I'm looking forward to trying a cream pie next. I set up shop and did work in a beautiful sunny window. I will definitely be back!

I was so excited about this place. The whole concept of a pie place thrills me. But then I went there. I had a veggie pot pie that was filled with frozen vegetables. WTF? Service was bad and they seem to be a bit snobby about coffee. We ordered tea. Why wouldn't a pie place have tea? They brought us glass cups filled halfway with water and a teabag. Again, WTF? I don't eat sugar so couldn't try the pie. I asked about ordering a custom one and was told they could make one with or agave (that was cool), but at $23 for a regular pie I can't imagine what a custom pie would cost. They have elitist hours and their open "until they run out"? Of what? Frozen vegetables?

I thought I was going there for coffee and desert pie but they also have SAVORY pie. This is great because I didn't have lunch. The pesto mac n cheese was awesome and I almost got seconds but the portion was perfect for me. Then I had one of their special pies of the day, "pie so serious" which was a chocolate crust with chocolate go-nosh with a whipped chocolate topping. It was awesome. I also had some delicious mocha coffee drink . The staff was attentive and nice, I will go back and bring others. I am so happy to find another place that is not a chain restaurant and has actually fresh food made daily.

We came by lunchtime when it was below freezing outside and had some excellent coffee and pie. I had the red velvet chess pie and my wife had the chocolate pecan. Both were fantastic - tasted just like homemade. The place is just off of E. Thompson Ln., which means it is a good location, but not very crowded. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a great slice of pie.

So I went to the Loving Pie Company, and I decided it was worth my time to try out the place. I like good coffee, and I like good pie. The location isn't bad for the Hundred Oaks/Berry Hill area. Tuck away little bit in Berry Hill, but it's not so frustrating that you'll have a hard time. The staff is actually pretty delightful. I thought everyone was really nice, were considerate and proactive. I cannot speak highly enough of them. The coffee was a bit of a problem. I ordered an iced Americano, and even when they remade it, they complained that it's hard to make good coffee cold, which I don't really buy into, since I can get very excellent Americanos all over Nashville. The first was barely drinkable, and the second was merely passable, using cold brew, so it wasn't really an Americano, but what're you gonna do? Their hot coffee drinks are probably better. Then there's the pie. I ordered a slice of the Coconut Cream, based on the recommendation of the owner. And, in all honesty, this might have been... the greatest slice of pie I've every had in my life. Sweet but not so sweet as make your eyes water, creamy, nice coconut flavor, and a wonderful flaky crust. It's the kind of pie that haunts your dreams. I was so thoroughly satisfied with the pie that I'll probably never ask anyone to make pie for me again. So, yeah. The Loving Pie Company is a legitimate hit when it comes to making pies.

This is a nice quaint little spot. It's great for those silly conversations over a cup of coffee and a slice of pie! I had the local favorite chocolate chip pie which was a warm ooey gooey slice of goodness that reminded me of a good hot chocolate chop cookie. The pie crust was very flaky and light which was great but tasteless like most pie crusts are. I washed my pie down with three cups of house coffee because the refills were free. They do have a selection of artisan coffees but they do not come with free refills. Did I mention that they also serve homemade pot pies. These pot pies are served at the Pie Company or you can take and bake. I ordered two veggie pot pies and one chicken and one macaroni and cheese pot pie, yes I said macaroni and cheese pot pie. The veggie pot pies were good with big rustic chunks of zucchini, squash and spears of broccoli and cauliflower. My girlfriend said that her chicken and macaroni and cheese pot pies were good and she especially liked the macaroni and cheese. If we were in the same house at the time I would have sampled hers also! He he!

I love the idea of this place. The dessert pies are good the savory pies are inconsistent, sometimes just warmish in the middle and sometimes dry. Their service is what made me decide I didn't want to spend my money here. They are slow as Christmas, I have stopped by on three different occasions where they just shut down early and went home, once the owner came outside and said they weren't serving because they were getting ready for a party but I could see another customer in the window having pie. No way to run a business or cultivate loyal customers!

This place was AMAZING! I was driving through town with my sister and was in the mood for some pie. This place exceed any expectations. The chicken pot pie and Mac and cheese pie were incredible and even complimented each other perfectly! To close it off we had the chocolate chip pie with vanilla ice cream and chocolate peanut butter pie with chocolate ice cream. The chocolate chip pie was PERFECT and the chocolate peanut butter, even though it was a little chocolatey for me, was very good! For sure a must see in Nashville!!
